The wedding dress is probably the most expensive dress you will ever purchase, even if you have a budget, most brides will fall in love with a dress and you will not care about the price. Traditionally the bride’s family pay for the wedding dress, but this is not set in stone, more and more modern-day couples are footing the bill for most of their wedding fees.
Food can be very costly depending on what you are choosing to be served and the amount of people you will be serving. A wedding cake is a must have for your wedding and depending on the size and ingredients it could be expensive. Some couples have a cake with a few tiers, and some have a smaller cake with other choices like cupcakes or cake pops on the side. If you have a family member or a friend that does a good job at baking cakes, this could help you save.
Everyone enjoys a few drinks at a wedding, so if you are planning on having an open bar be prepared to pay a substantial amount of money. Along with the alcohol there is wine with the meal, champagne for the toast and don’t forget the cocktails when first arriving. Some bridal couples have a signature cocktail made especially for them which is served throughout the reception.
Hiring a photographer or videographer is costly, you want to ensure the person you select has experience. These photos and videos are going to be seen by everyone and are a memory for you to return to forever, so make sure whoever you choose is going to do an excellent job.
