everchanging colors of the leaves, the burgundy grapes with the aroma filling the air. Long rustic wooden tables covered within seasonal fruits, of red apples and green and purple grapes, fresh flowers of burgundy dahlias, lilac hydrangeas, and green foliage. White linen tablecloths under silver chargers holding white plates, bottles of red wine lining across the tables, chairs covered in white with burgundy tulle tied with a bow on each. A three-tiered cake with ivory icing covered with burgundy peonies and fresh figs sits on top of a table in the corner, next to a champagne cocktail station.
A barn-style venue is a great location for a fall wedding, at the front of the room erect a pergola filled with wildflowers and incorporate the leaves of red, orange, browns and yellows into the garlands for a perfect alter, decorate the barn with a fall look starting with your tables. Try to arrange for some wooden rustic farmhouse style tables, set a runner along each of them in a light cream color. Lay a pewter charger at each place setting, and lay rust, burgundy, or green plate on each. On the head table place a long floral arrangement with lush dahlias in burgundy and orange with green hydrangeas and a pop of red calla lilies, and smaller versions on the rest of the tables. Arrange fairy light across the room, and large oversized lanterns filled with large candles on the floor beside the bar. Display the wedding cake with its 3 tiers of buttercream, decorated with fresh petals from the dahlias. A pie station could stand in one corner of the room filled with pumpkin, cherry apple, and blackberry pies, bales of hay surrounded with fall produce like squash, pumpkins, and kale for added color, fresh red apples are also good to have around.
If it is possible to extend to the outdoors, build a fire pit, and cover the tree branches with small fairy lights, set some comfy chairs around with some blankets for those that feel chilly. Have a hot chocolate station and serve smores on a stick ready to roast in the fire. For those that would like something stronger, you could serve hot brandy toddy’s, warm cider, and mulled wine. There would be a great ambiance both inside and out, especially with the fairy lights and candle lights bouncing off each other.
