How to Create the Perfect Fall Wedding Theme
Fall is one of the most beautiful times to have a wedding. The weather can be crisp and dry, with the leaves changing color and the landscapes look like a painting. You have chosen the gorgeous wedding dress of your dreams in a soft Ivory lace, and for outdoor photos a beautiful faux fur jacket, also ivory, matching with the bridesmaids’ shawls. The bridal bouquet is a cascading design of small cream rosebuds, orchids with a just a small number of burgundy peonies to match the color of the bridesmaid’s dresses. Having your hair in a simple updo with ruby and crystal comb would look very chic.
The bridesmaids will have fall color dresses, perhaps in a deep burgundy. They each have chosen different styles, the necklines are sweetheart, a one shoulder and a halter strap. The maid of honors dress is an empire style with a lighter tone to stand out from the bridesmaids, these all have been chosen by each bridesmaid for the best fit for each of their body types, and all the dresses are accented with a hint of burgundy lace. To accessorize we have beautiful Ivory faux fur shawls to keep the chill away when outdoors. The bridesmaids’ bouquets are a small bunch of burgundy peonies mixed with cream colored carnations and the shoes are all black whichever style of the bridesmaid’s choice.
The groom would be looking very sophisticated in a charcoal grey two-piece, slim fit style suit, white shirt, grey tie, and a white rose in his jacket lapel. The groomsmen would also have a two-piece fitted suit in a lighter shade of grey, white shirt and a grey tie, with a burgundy peony on their lapels. All the guys would be wearing black leather oxford style shoes.
The wedding venue is at an old vineyard, and depending on the weather there is a choice for the reception, either indoor overlooking the beautiful rustic backdrop with the leaves and their many changing colors of reds, browns and many shades of orange, or under a marquee also with the beautiful landscape. The fruit trees are adding to the color palette and the aroma of the grapes is intoxicating! While the bridal party are being photographed the guests are arriving to the venue.
As the guests are led into the beautiful reception area there are long wooden rustic farmhouse style tables set up with large pewter plates, covered with red and purple grapes, red apples, an assortment of breads and cheese, and bottles of wine set across all the tables. There are the ivory roses and burgundy peonies with baby’s breath set sporadically around the room. Pewter candle sticks holding the flickering candles bouncing off the fairy lights that surround the reception. At each chair there is a card on the table with the name of the guest who shall sit at that place. On a table in the corner of the room is a beautiful cake with ivory icing, fresh roses and burgundy flowers around each tier. In another corner is an open bar serving a selection of all your favorite alcohol drinks as well as your signature cocktails, whatever that might be? There are also caterers walking around the reception with Hors d’oeuvres for guests to have with their cocktails before being seated for the dinner. The ambiance is amazing, the music in the background is playing softly, while the guests are in awe of their surroundings.
Everyone is seated, listening to the best man’s speech, holding a glass of champagne waiting to toast the newlyweds. Dinner of pumpkin squash soup, surf and turf with all the trimmings, and of course vegetarian option is to be served! There is a dessert station serving fresh fruit pies, and a chocolate fountain with strawberries and other delicious fruits to dip, and later the bridal couple will cut their cake to share. Specialty coffees will be a big hit, and all guests will be leaving with a party favor of a small bottle of wine from the vineyard with the bridal couple’s name on the label.
