The Bride’s Survival Guide: Wedding Themes

One of the first things to decide on for a wedding is the theme. There are actually tons of options to choose from, there is the nautical, rustic, classic, beach and so much more. Choosing which one to consider may not an easy walk in the park. It takes time and serious decision making before you come to a definite decision.

Questions To Be Answered By Both The Bride And The Groom

To kick off with your decision making, you have to ask yourself and your groom these questions:

  • Where and how did you meet?
  • How did the groom make his proposal?
  • What are your hobbies or interest?
  • Is there any country you and your soon to be husband wants to visit or a country that you visit that truly captures your heart?
  • When you were a child, did you ever think about your dream wedding?
  • Which type of fashion style you and your groom prefer? Is it elegant, peppy, casual or sporty?
  • Is there a flower that symbolizes your relationship or a flower that has a special meaning to your relations?

All the answers to the questions above must be somehow incorporated at your wedding. These questions can also make your decisions easier and more reliable.

Important Things To Consider When Deciding On Your Wedding Theme

After all the questions above are answered, it is time for you to go to the wedding details. There are things you need to look into to ensure that the wedding theme will adhere to what you really want to achieve.

  • The Venue

The venue will play a huge role in making your dream wedding come true, also it will get a huge part in your budget, so better be careful when choosing the place to hold your wedding.

If you decided on the venue first, you must take a closer look at the ambiance and features around it and think of a theme that can blend on it. On the other hand, if you haven’t decided on the venue yet, think about your dream wedding and find a suitable venue where your theme can be accommodated.

As previously discussed, think about your budget when deciding for a venue, if the venue’s price is beyond your budget, think whether it is really worth your money.

  • Choose the right color

Sure, the very first colors to consider are your favorites. But, if you do not have any particular color in mind, you can check on your closet and see which among the colors you love wearing the most.

You can also browse the internet and get suggestions on the best colors to match, choose the one that attracts your eyes. You also have to consider that your partner may not like all feminine colors, hence mixing it with colors of gray and blue can be considered.

  • Think about the season

A garden or beach wedding may not be the best during winter, as staying outside for a long time during this season is dragging and impossible. Also, you may want to choose the flowers that are on the season, as hard to find flowers may be difficult to get and expensive to purchase.

The colors can also blend well on the season like if you want to hold your wedding on fall, autumnal colors like red or orange can be a good choice.

  • The formality of the event

You earlier asked yourself about your dream wedding, and remembering it now as you decide on the formality of your wedding is a good idea. Think about the clothes you want your guests to wear, do you want them to wear evening gowns and suits? If so, the elegant and ballroom theme is a good choice. Meanwhile, if you want it more relaxed and free-flowing, you can opt for a garden or beach wedding.

  • Think about your budget

As much as you want your wedding to be grand and royalty like, if your budget does not permit, it will not happen. Stick with realistic goals and do not go way beyond what you can afford. True that a wedding may only happen once in your lifetime, but that does not mean you will break your bank account.

There are many ways to make a wedding elegant without spending a fortune, you just have to be resourceful and creative.

  • Get personal

Instead of imitating someone else’s wedding, get personal and let your personality show on this special day. Go around your house, visit your closet and think of things that you and your soon to be husband fonder. There is nothing better than having a wedding where you can be yourself.

Stay away with the norm, especially if you want your wedding to be unique and worth remembering not just by yourself but your guests as well.
