Things You Must Not Forget Renting
Wondering what things you must not forget renting? Have you find your wedding dress already? Is your checklist all done? A wedding can be very stressful and it is possible to forget some small details. But, as long as you are organized, there is nothing to fear. Also, if you want a more smooth sailing wedding celebration, you can always hire a wedding coordinator. They are there to ensure that your wedding will be perfect and stress free.
Moving on, there are things you have to remember to organize. Moreover, not everything in your wedding should be brand new and you do not need to buy all of the items you need. Thus, renting is a great option to consider. Just like with any other important things at your wedding, you have to make sure that everything you need to rent is in your checklist and ready to go on the big day!
Here are some of the things you must not forget to rent!
-
Tents
Renting tents may not be on top of the priorities of couples, but it is a must particularly for outdoor weddings. Rain may pour without warnings, and if this happens, tents can give your guests shelter so they won’t get wet. Also, tents can keep your guests comfortable when there is an unexpected strong wind and in hot weather conditions as well.
Also, if you have guests, like musicians, you can have them use it for a time while they are preparing. This is also a good place to change up from your wedding gown to your party dress.
-
Chairs and tables
Never forget renting tables and chairs. Without it, there is no place for your guests to sit and eat. Make sure that there is enough sets of tables and chairs available so everyone can sit. Just to make sure everything will be seated, best to prepare seating arrangements. It does not necessarily be arranging the exact seat but at least group them accordingly to respective tables.
-
Electricity
If you are planning to hold your wedding in different rural areas or even in your backyard, it is highly recommended that you rent a generator. There are some vendors who need power, like the catering service to bake and cook food, lights, and sound, DJ so he/she can play music, performers, best man and maid of honor to deliver their speech and so on. Make sure that no one will be troubled looking for an electrical connection.
-
Napkins and linens
Another important thing to rent for weddings is napkins and linens. There are many fabric options available, and choosing what suits your wedding theme and color is a must. If the shop does not have exact color of napkins and linens, you can either go to a different shop or you can choose a color that would match your theme.
You may also want to choose those that have designed if you do want too plain napkins and linens.
-
Barware, flatware, and dinnerware
Without it, your guests will have nowhere to eat. Make sure that there is enough supply of coffee mugs, rock glasses, highball glasses, champagne flutes, water glasses, white and red wine glasses, spoons, knives, forks, and serving plates.
Tip: This is only applicable if the catering service or venue does not include this on their package. There are vendors that solely focus in this kind of supply.
-
Floral accouterments
Even how good your flowers look, if there is no place to put them, it is useless. The good news is, florists, provide rental of such to keep their flower arrangements more beautiful. Renting of candelabras, lanterns, votive candles, vessels, vases, aisle marker stands, and arches must be part of your rental checklist.
-
Lounge furniture
Some may not think of the importance of lounge furniture but if you will consider your guest’s comfort, renting furniture to create a nice lounge is ideal. Part of the lounge furniture you must rent are coffee tables, armchairs, couches, rugs, and pillows.
Having a lounge will also give your guests the opportunity to mingle with other guests. Although before deciding to rent lounge furniture, you have to make sure that there is enough space where you can place this. If your venue is too narrow or small, taking this out from your rental list is better.
-
Restroom
This is not a must for all outdoor weddings, but needless to say, if there is no accessible bathroom in the reception venue might as well rent one. You can have two to three pop up restrooms in your venue, one dedicated for the ladies and the other one for your male guests.
Just to make sure that it will not stink on your wedding venue, hire someone who will look after the cleanliness of the bathroom. Most companies offering pop up restroom rentals have designated employees to dispatch to ensure the cleanliness of the space.
-
Other items
There are a few other things you also need to consider renting. For example, if you want a bar, you may need to rent a cooler to ensure there is enough supply of ice during the event. Make sure that all items you need for your wedding will be provided. You would not want to end up running to rental shops on the day of your wedding.
The wedding can be very expensive. However, if you know what the things you can rent are and what are the things you only need to buy, your wedding can be a lot cheaper.
There are so many things you have to plan for the wedding and hiring a wedding organizer can help you a lot. They can also help you identify which is best to rent, buy brand new, and buy second hand.
